Vitebsk, 5 September /Alena Tikhonova - BELTA/. The regional festival-competition of arts and decorative-and-applied arts for people with disabilities "Sunny World for All" will be held in Vitebsk on 13 September. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore.
The cultural institution noted that an exhibition of creative works by disabled people from different regions of the oblast has been open at the Vitebsk Town Hall since 3 September. The exhibition features over 130 items, including graphics and paintings, wood and ceramic sculptures, soft toys, ceramics, embroidery, and items made of beads, straw, fabric, felted wool, and ribbons. All works are very colourful and positive.
On 13 September, about 100 authors of these amazing works – disabled people aged 17 to 39 from different regions of the oblast – will come to Vitebsk. The festive programme includes summing up the results and awarding diplomas and prizes to the winners of the creative works competition, a concert, and an excursion to Ilya Repin's museum-estate "Zdravnevo". Master classes in painting, graphics (watercolour, gouache), and beadwork will be organised here for the festival participants.
The festival-competition will conclude with a round table discussion "Zdravnevo Meetings". -0-
