Participants of the armoured vehicle rally are expected in Orsha on June 19. A ceremonial rally will be held here near the Mound of Immortality, concluding with a demonstration of the arrived military vehicles. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, students, pupils of patriotic classes, and the public will take part in the event.
The armoured vehicle rally will start on June 17 in Moscow at Poklonnaya Hill. It is planned that over 20 units of demilitarised vehicles (armoured personnel carriers and reconnaissance vehicles) will travel from Moscow to Brest and back. Participants will visit the Russian cities of Odintsovo, Golitsyno, Mozhaysk, Vyazma, and Smolensk. The Belarusian leg of the route will pass through Orsha, Minsk, and Brest, Beryoza. The culmination of the event will be participation in commemorative ceremonies in Brest on June 22.
The organiser of the "Road of Courage" armoured vehicle rally is the Russian interregional public organisation "Military-Technical Society". The main objective is to pay tribute to the heroes who fought for the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, as well as to strengthen cultural ties.
In total, participants of the armoured vehicle rally will cover over 2,300 km and take part in 20 commemorative events in Russia and Belarus.
It is expected that the event participants will set a record to be included in the Russian Book of Records. This will be the longest march undertaken by armoured vehicles.
