Fast, coordinated, prompt, precise! This is how all services performed today during large-scale exercises at the Lepel Repair and Mechanical Plant. The event was organized based on a situation as close to reality as possible.
According to the scenario: a fire occurred in the production workshop due to a violation of fire safety requirements during operation of machine tools. An industrial oil fire broke out in the production workshop. As a result of the fire, the machine tools were destroyed,there was an oil leak followed by ignition. Due to the thermal impact, there was a threat to the load-bearing structures of the production workshop. A significant amount of
combustion products was released throughout the workshop area. There were three casualties.
The performance of the services and the employees of the RMP, including the members of the voluntary fire brigade, was rated highly. As noted by Alexander Gmyrak, Deputy Duty Officer of the Operational Management Center of the "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations" institution, and Alexey Girs, First Deputy Head of the Lepel District Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, conducting such events is an important contribution to ensuring industrial safety. Regular training allows maintaining skills at the level necessary for real emergency response in the shortest possible time.
