On October 16, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Economists from five countries will take part in the international scientific-practical conference "Socio-economic development of organizations and regions of Belarus: sustainability, development, innovation" at the Vitebsk State Technological University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the university Elena Vankevich told a BELTA correspondent. The conference will open on October 18 and will continue the cycle of scientific-practical events held by the Faculty of Economics of the Technological University since 2001. The current scientific forum will discuss current directions of sustainable socio-economic development of organizations and regions of Belarus and the development of practical recommendations for their effective implementation. As Elena Vankevich noted, there is traditionally a heightened interest in the conference from both Belarusian and foreign scientists and practitioners. Over 130 people have applied for participation – leading researchers and specialists dealing with the issues of sustainable development of organizations and regions, from Daugavpils University, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, representatives of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Tomsk National Research State University, Korolev Institute of Management, Economics and Sociology, Smolensk Institute of Economics, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, as well as representatives of leading scientific and educational institutions of Belarus: Belarusian State Economic University, Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belarusian State University, Research Economic Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, Yanka Kupala Grodno State University.
