On January 4, 2019, the constituent meeting of the second convocation of the Youth Chamber of Lepel District under the Lepel District Council of Deputies was held.

The meeting was attended by Anatoly Tadeuszevich Shchastny, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Rector of the educational institution "Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University"; Igor Gennadievich Urban, Chairman of the Lepel District Council of Deputies; Elena Fedorovna Skorbo, Chairperson of the Standing Commission for Social Sphere, Social Protection of Citizens and Youth Affairs of the Lepel District Council of Deputies; Anatoly Mikhailovich Karpitsky, Head of the Education Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee; Svetlana Alexandrovna Shevelyova, Deputy Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs; and the leadership of the district committee of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union".

The participants of the meeting spoke to the young people about the history of Belarusian parliamentarism, the work of the chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Belarus, and the interaction between local executive and administrative bodies and Councils of Deputies. They wished the younger generation success in applying their knowledge and skills in science, culture, and public life of the region, and noted that the district leadership would always be pleased to hear the ideas and proposals of the youth and would provide assistance and support in their implementation.

The agenda included the election of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the second convocation of the Youth Chamber of Lepel District, the formation of standing commissions of the Youth Chamber, and the approval of the regulations and work plan of the second convocation of the Youth Chamber of Lepel District.

By open vote, Nikita Mironovich, a student of the state educational institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel", was elected Chairperson of the Youth Chamber.

Congratulating the new members of the Youth Chamber, Igor G. Urban, Chairperson of the Lepel District Council of Deputies, and Anatoly T. Shchastny, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, presented certificates and commemorative souvenirs to each member of the Youth Chamber.

The event concluded with a tea party with sweets.
