A jubilee medal "170 Years of Fire Service of Belarus" has been established. The corresponding decree No. 202 was signed on July 4 by the Head of State, Alexander Lukashenko, as reported to BELTA by the Press Service of the President.
On the obverse of the medal, against a background of rays radiating from the center, there is an image of an old fire helmet, which is placed over an axe and a fire hose nozzle. The upper part features a ribbon with the inscription "170 год" (170 Years), and the lower part - "Пажарнай службе Беларусі" (Fire Service of Belarus).
The jubilee medal will be awarded to employees and civilian personnel of emergency response bodies and units for exemplary performance of official duties, as well as to other individuals for their significant contribution to the development and improvement of activities in the areas of protection of the population and territories of Belarus from natural and man-made emergencies, ensuring fire, industrial, nuclear and radiation safety, civil defense, and for the interaction of state bodies and other organizations with emergency response bodies and units.
