President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 239 "On Reimbursement of Provided State Support" on July 31. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document establishes that state support for citizens registered as needing housing improvement and directed to construction at their place of military or state civil service, or work in a government body, is provided only on the condition of subsequent service (work) for at least 10 years.
If this condition is not met, the citizen will be obliged to reimburse the state support provided to them and their family members.
Moreover, reimbursement of state support will be required only in case of dismissal from military or state civil service, or work in a government body, on one's own initiative or under discrediting circumstances.
The Decree also defines the categories of citizens to whom the requirement for reimbursement of provided state support does not apply: large families, families with children with disabilities, citizens who have reached retirement age or length of service, and those dismissed for health reasons.
