This was stated today by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko, who visited OJSC "Belovezhsky" in Kamenets District, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Summing up the results of what he saw, Alexander Lukashenko noted that he is quite cautious about the creation of such large farms as this one. "Psychologically, our peasants are used to and want to see the main manager every day. But there's no getting away from it, efficiency must be increased, and small farms are inefficient," he said. According to the Head of State, OJSC "Belovezhsky" is an example of how it is possible not to raze everything to the ground and build new, but to modernise and put existing facilities in order. However, as the President noted, putting farms in order is only a half-measure, despite the fact that it yields results and efficiency. In the future, new, larger agricultural production facilities should be created on this basis. "A farm for 1100 head is already a 30% solution to the problems in dairy cattle breeding," believes the Belarusian leader. In addition, and importantly, the farm has created good working conditions for people, and the social sphere is developed. Alexander Lukashenko also inspected one of the mechanical yards at OJSC "Belovezhskoye", where he familiarised himself with the operation and storage of agricultural machinery. In particular, a special vehicle for the technical maintenance of the machine and tractor fleet was presented to the Head of State. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is equipped with all the necessary equipment for technical inspection and repair of machinery and can be deployed to the field during peak periods. There are currently over 130 such vehicles in the republic, and it is planned to expand their fleet in the future. In addition, Alexander Lukashenko was told about the "Belagroservice" information retrieval system, which significantly simplifies the process of searching for necessary spare parts and units for the repair and maintenance of equipment in warehouses. In conclusion, addressing the head of OJSC "Belovezhsky" Yuri Moroz, Alexander Lukashenko said that he intends to visit this farm again in about two years to see how order has been established at the recently transferred facilities. -0-
