Agricultural production is one of the leading sectors both in terms of raw material and product output, and in terms of the number of employees – 1669 people.
Gross output for 10 months amounted to 117.1% compared to the same period last year. Crop production showed a 25% increase, and livestock production – a 12% increase.
A total of 39,978 tonnes of grain were threshed in the district, which corresponds to 164% of last year's figure. Yields reached 36.1 centners per hectare. Gross potato harvest amounted to 4,887 tonnes with a yield of 158 centners per hectare.
For 10 months, compared to the same period last year, milk yield reached 110%, and the sale of livestock and poultry – 118%. An increase in the live weight gain of cattle and poultry was ensured by 799 tonnes, or 13%.
It is expected that this year more than 4,550 kg of milk will be produced per cow in milk. We will achieve average daily weight gains in cattle and pigs of 565 g and 580 g, respectively. In addition, the increase in productivity of the milking herd compared to last year's level will be 276 kg, and for young cattle – 22 g.
Instead of the planned sale of 6,100 tonnes of livestock and poultry, 8,000 tonnes will be sold, or 131%.
For 10 months, the largest gross output increases were achieved by DSG "LSS" – 158%, OJSC "Ladna" – 133%, OJSC "Chareyshchyna" – 128%, KUVSGP "Bobrovo" – 121%, SPP "Prazhektor" – 120%. The best grain yield was obtained by DSG "LSS" – 51.1 centners per hectare, OJSC "Chareyshchyna" – 41 centners per hectare, SGF "Zaazerye" – 36 centners per hectare. In "Chareyshchyna", 3,395 tonnes of potatoes were harvested from 210 hectares. Milk yield increases in "Zaazerye", "Bobrovo" and "Lepelsky" were 123%, 120% and 111%, respectively. Milk yield per cow in "Zaazerye" reached 5,117 kg, and in "Prazhektor" – 4,619 kg.
During the harvest period, combine operators successfully passed the exam for agricultural ingenuity and skill: Anatoly Zhilinsky from the sorting station (2,047 tonnes), Gennady Mironovich, Pyotr Dukhovich and Alexander Buinitsky from "Zaazerye" (1,689, 1,688 and 1,658 tonnes, respectively).
Milkers from "Lepelsky" Marina Garbovskaya, Irina Gennadyevna Zharnosek, Irina Pavlovna Zharnosek and Svetlana Orlova produced 5,937, 5,790, 5,653 and 5,591 kg per cow, respectively, over 10 months. Lyudmila Mazgo from "Zaazerye" produced 5,263 kg. Average daily weight gains were achieved by: 858 g for calf rearing by Nina Taran from "Ladna", 853 g – by Valentina Prikhozhaeva from "Zaazerye".
