As part of the preventive campaign "Holidays without Smoke and Fire!", employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations have organised and are conducting safety lessons and preventive performances by rescuers for pupils of general education institutions in the town and district during the period of summer school camps, in accordance with a jointly developed schedule with the Education Department of the District Executive Committee.
As part of the preventive campaign "Holidays without Smoke and Fire!", employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations have organised and are conducting safety lessons and preventive performances by rescuers for pupils of general education institutions in the town and district during the period of summer school camps, in accordance with a jointly developed schedule with the Education Department of the District Executive Committee. Rescuers have already visited 8 schools in the district. During these visits, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations presented the magazine "Young Rescuer", told the children about observing fire safety measures at home, and advised them on how to act correctly in case of any emergency situation, applying all their knowledge and skills in life safety fundamentals. The capabilities of fire and rescue equipment were also demonstrated, and the children showed keen interest in the tactical and technical characteristics of the equipment and gear used by fire rescuers. The schoolchildren were also impressed by the screening of educational films "Water Safety Rules", "Not Child's Play" and the cartoon series "The Magic Book". At the end of the meetings, the rescuers wished the children a useful, interesting, and most importantly, safe holiday.
