The Ministry of Emergency Situations rescuers pay special attention to educating the younger generation, as teaching children safety means laying the foundation for their happy and secure lives. It is important to understand that education is not just a simple enumeration of rules. A child must understand why it is important to follow these rules, rather than just memorise them.
Educational activities were conducted by the propaganda inspector of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, Tatyana Fedorovich, with children from Secondary School No. 3 in the town of Lepel.
During various games, the representative of the "112" service shared knowledge with the schoolchildren on how to avoid dangerous situations, both at home and outdoors. The children learned what can cause a fire, where it is best not to play, and which actions are dangerous.
− Children, remember, in case of a fire, you must never hide. Quickly run outside, inform adults about what happened, and call the rescuers, − the propaganda inspector of the district unit emphasised to the children.
The girls and boys also learned about a useful helper – the autonomous fire alarm.
− Children, listen to the sound this small device makes when there is smoke in the house, − the loud sound of the alarm attracted the children's attention. The children asked many questions, which they received answers to.
At the end of the event, the children received visual educational materials as gifts, which will remind them about safety.
