Stayskaya Secondary School places great importance on a healthy lifestyle. It is understood here that only healthy children can cope with mastering the school curriculum. Meanwhile, the burdens on children, both physical and psychological, are constantly increasing. This is the age we live in. There are many reasons for this. For example, electronic technologies have entered schools, and only a prepared person with at least a minimal knowledge base can master them. Therefore, increased workloads await children, unfortunately, from the very first grade. It is impossible to do without active breaks, outdoor games, etc. A healthy lifestyle has been in the focus of educators throughout the current academic year. The school is working on the project "Country of Healthy Lifestyles," with the motto taken from the words of Heinrich Heine: "The only beauty I know is health."
Every second week, "health lessons" are held in all classes. Teachers practice discussions and meetings with medical specialists who talk about cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, respiratory diseases, etc., and introduce personal hygiene rules.
Every second Saturday, the school organises mass physical education and health events. For example, an all-school competition for the most athletic class was held, which sparked healthy competition and identified the strongest, most agile, as well as the most resourceful and proactive.
The rational use of the school's sports facilities is constantly monitored here. The sports hall is open every day from eight in the morning until nine in the evening. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays evenings, the youth are coached by Anatoly Zolotukha, a sports instructor from the agricultural production branch "Za'er'e". On Tuesdays and Fridays, classes are led by the school's physical education teacher, Andrey Kalituha.
It is great that every young person from the village who has appropriate interests and a desire to engage in sports can simply come and use the gym equipment, work out, play football, volleyball, or basketball in their free evening time. A unique sports and health centre for the agro-town has formed around the school. And sport has grown from individual physical education lessons into a mass phenomenon in the village. The school asserts that this is undoubtedly a great achievement of the physical education teacher Andrey Kalituha. Andrey Ivanovich is a passionate and dedicated person, a good athlete himself, and a convinced proponent of a healthy lifestyle.
