On July 26, Orsha District / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The level of organisation of interaction between rescuers of Belarus and Russia is coming to the fore in modern conditions. This unanimous opinion was expressed by the Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus, Vladimir Vashchenko, and the Chief Military Expert of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Pavel Plat, summing up the results of the recent Belarusian-Russian tactical special exercises, reports BELTA correspondent. The joint exercises of Belarusian and Russian rescuers are becoming traditional. For example, in 2010, exercises with the participation of Belarusian employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were held at the Smolensk NPP. The exercises, which concluded today and took place in the Smolensk and Vitebsk regions, demonstrated the readiness of the combat units of the Ministries of Emergency Situations of the two states to promptly respond to cross-border emergencies. "In modern conditions, it is important to respond to such incidents in a timely manner, to exchange information, and the combat coordination of employees is also important," emphasized Vladimir Vashchenko. Pavel Plat supported his colleague, noting that the exercises demonstrated the readiness of the Ministry of Emergency Situations forces. "Today, the focus is not so much on the practical actions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, but on the level of organisation of interaction. This is necessary to promptly receive information from the scene and make the right management decisions," stated the Chief Military Expert. In his opinion, the level of organisation of interaction demonstrated during the concluded exercises has improved compared to previous ones: at the current exercises, all management bodies and operational groups were in contact. The Chief Military Expert also noted that the exercises allow for the demonstration of new technologies and equipment samples. For example, the Russian specialist was interested in the vehicle of his Belarusian colleagues, which allows for the simultaneous deployment of fire hoses and the supply of water through them thanks to a powerful pumping station included in the vehicle's kit. Vladimir Vashchenko and Pavel Plat noted the mutual benefit from the exercises and expressed confidence that such practice will be continued.
