The Vitebsk region has recorded the lowest proportion of juvenile delinquency in the republic for the first half of 2012, as reported to BELTA correspondent by Irina Yanukovich, Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the Vitebsk Region for Supervision over the Enforcement of Legislation on Minors and Youth.
Over six months, 167 crimes were committed by minors or with their complicity in the Vitebsk region, which is 23.7% less than in the same period last year. Their proportion in the total crime volume was 4%. The number of minors involved in criminal activities decreased by 14.3% to 156, with a proportion of 4.4%.
