It should be noted, for the sake of fairness, that there were a few young citizens born in 1998 and 1999 who, for various reasons, had not yet received their passports. Now they are becoming full citizens of the republic. The most common reason for obtaining a passport before the age of 14 is temporary travel abroad. This could be a holiday at a foreign resort, visiting foreign relatives, or participating in sports competitions and creative contests. It is very pleasing that such cases are increasing year by year.
At the city culture house, outstanding students, athletes, and artists who defend the honour of their native Lepel at competitions and contests of the highest level were present from each city school. For example, Anzhela Bykova and Alexey Saskevich from class 8B of Secondary School No. 4 demonstrate excellent mathematical abilities, multiplied by diligence and hard work. They are participants in mathematics Olympiads and have won prizes. Their classmate Maria Avtushko from class 8B of Secondary School No. 4 has been singing for many years. She has participated in creative contests of various levels many times and has won. Prizes can speak most eloquently about her abilities and achievements. Evgeny Ilyin is a creative young man, a regular host of school assemblies and other school events. Zhenya also excels in such a rare pursuit as artistic reading.
