To prevent illegal felling of coniferous trees, a comprehensive set of measures is planned, involving employees of the state forestry protection, the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the specified period, operational raid activities will be carried out, and patrols of forests and checkpoints will be organised to verify the availability of permits for transporting trees.

For reference, we inform you that in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, illegal destruction, seizure, or damage to trees and shrubs, as well as other vegetation, is punishable by a fine: from 5 to 30 base units (from 160 to 960 Belarusian rubles) for an individual, from 20 to 200 base units (from 640 to 6400 Belarusian rubles) for an individual entrepreneur, and from 50 to 300 base units (from 1600 to 9600 Belarusian rubles) for a legal entity.

In this regard, the Ministry of Forestry advises purchasing New Year's coniferous trees at organised sales points.
