The Belarusian Railway carried 30% more passengers to the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival this year compared to 2018, the Belta press centre reported.
For the ninth consecutive year, the Belarusian Railway has organised an additional train service between Minsk and Vitebsk during the "Slavianski Bazaar" festival. This year, the train operated daily from Minsk from July 8 to July 19, and from Vitebsk from July 9 to July 20. "During the XXVIII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", 4,762 passengers used its services. Compared to the previous year, the volume of passengers transported increased by more than a thousand people, or by 30.4%," the press centre stated.
"The train was in high demand, partly due to its schedule being coordinated with the "Slavianski Bazaar" programme. Guests could explore the attractions of the city on the Western Dvina before the evening concerts, immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, and return comfortably to the capital."
