Please note that when choosing a speed, drivers must take into account speed limits, as well as traffic intensity, road visibility, vehicle characteristics and condition, road and weather conditions, and other factors.
In populated areas, the speed of vehicles is permitted to be no more than 60 km/h, and in residential and pedestrian zones, and in adjacent territories – no more than 20 km/h.Outside populated areas, the speed is permitted to be:
- no more than 120 km/h – on motorways and roads for vehicles;
- no more than 70 km/h – for motor vehicles driven by drivers with less than two years of driving experience, as well as during driver training when the vehicle is operated by a trainee driver;
- no more than 50 km/h – for vehicles towing motor vehicles.
