President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 381 "On the Construction of Distribution Electrical Networks" on October 5. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.
The Decree establishes the procedure for financing design and reconstruction work on distribution electrical networks for the power supply of detached residential houses. Energy supply organizations of the Ministry of Energy are granted the right to act as customers for the design and construction of such networks.
Financing for the design and reconstruction of depreciated distribution electrical networks will be carried out at the expense of the republican budget, and for non-depreciated distribution electrical networks – with the involvement of funds from citizens (in the amount of no more than 30% of the reconstruction cost).
The Decree establishes a provision on partial reimbursement of funds to citizens when connecting new consumers to distribution electrical networks reconstructed with the involvement of funds from these citizens.
The procedure for organizing the design and reconstruction of distribution electrical networks, as well as the reimbursement of costs for connection to these networks, will be determined by the Council of Ministers.
