By taking to the road, you become a road user with specific rights and responsibilities.
The Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs informs that
from April 28 to May 6 of this year, the Republican preventive campaign "Open the Season Without Violations!" is being held to prevent road traffic accidents involving motor vehicles.
It is necessary to remember:
- use technically sound bicycles and mopeds equipped in accordance with the requirements of technical normative legal acts of the Republic of Belarus;
- turn on a white headlight (lamp) at the front of the bicycle or moped, and a red lamp at the rear when driving on roads in the dark and in conditions of insufficient visibility;
- when riding a bicycle, move along special bicycle paths, and in their absence – no more than one meter from the right edge of the roadway or along the shoulder, if this does not impede pedestrians;
- when riding a moped outside populated areas, move no more than one meter from the right edge of the roadway.
Bicycle and moped riders are prohibited from:
- carrying passengers, except for children under seven years of age on an additional specially equipped seat;
- towing their bicycle or moped with other vehicles, as well as towing other vehicles, except for an industrially manufactured bicycle trailer;
- carrying cargo that interferes with the control of the bicycle or moped.

In unskilled hands, a motorcycle is one of the most dangerous types of vehicles. Therefore, by becoming a motorcycle owner, you voluntarily undertake the obligation to impeccably observe the Traffic Regulations.
