Dear residents of the district. We draw your attention to the pressing issue related to the burning of dry vegetation.

The destruction of vegetation leads to soil erosion, deterioration of air quality, and loss of biodiversity. Furthermore, smoke from burning vegetation can cause health problems, especially for those suffering from respiratory diseases.

According to Article 16.40 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offences, the illegal burning of dry vegetation, grasses, and agricultural residues is a serious offence. The fine ranges from ten to thirty base units.

From 6 March 2025, due to changes in weather conditions and the start of the fire hazard season, officials of the Lepel Forestry will switch to enhanced forest fire protection.

Forestry specialists will patrol forest areas, conduct preventive measures, and inform the public about the rules of conduct in forests under conditions of increased fire hazard.
