Justification for the necessity of the planned activity

Object: "Forestry Road No. 1 in the Stayskoye Forestry of the SFI "Lepel Forest Enterprise".

The State Forestry Institution "Lepel Forest Enterprise" has decided to construct Forestry Road No. 1 for forest management, ensuring the completion of all forestry work, for the transportation of timber to processing sites, and for forest fire protection.

The project provides for: rational use of existing areas, a rational scheme for transport and pedestrian servicing of facilities, and measures that minimise negative environmental impact and ensure environmental cleanliness.

Information on the decision to be taken regarding the economic and other activities and the state body responsible for making such a decision

The decision to permit design and survey work and construction of the facility was made by the Lepel District Executive Committee on 18.10.2019, No. 1076.

Location of the planned activity

The land plot for the construction of Forestry Road No. 1 is located within the protection zone of the State Nature Protection Institution "Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve", on the lands of the Stayskoye Forestry of the Lepel Forest Enterprise, located at: Vitebsk Region, Lepel District. This option for the planned activity is the most priority in terms of environmental impact.
