In Belarus, 36.8% of housing commissioned in January-May 2019 is intended for citizens registered as in need of improved housing conditions, the National Statistical Committee informed BELTA.
Organisations of all ownership forms built 13.1 thousand new apartments, with 1,240.8 thousand sq.m of total housing area commissioned. 456.6 thousand sq.m of total area, or 36.8% of the total commissioned housing, is intended for citizens registered as in need of improved housing conditions. Out of the total commissioned housing, 321.3 thousand sq.m were built for those on the waiting list with the use of state support.
In rural settlements, 440.2 thousand sq.m of total housing area was commissioned, or 35.5% of the total commissioned nationwide.
