In Belarus, unemployed individuals are offered training in over 100 professions, as reported by Oleg Tokun, Head of the Employment Policy Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus, during an online conference on the BELTA website.
"Nationwide, the unemployed can undergo retraining in over 100 professions. Furthermore, a portion of these, approximately 20%, are integrated professions, where an individual acquires two or more simultaneously, for example, secretary and HR inspector. Typically, this is more common in blue-collar professions (plasterer-painter, tile layer)," Oleg Tokun stated.
Obtaining a second higher education or undergoing retraining can be done, in particular, at the Republican Institute for Professional Development and Retraining of Labour and Social Protection Ministry Employees. As explained by the institute's rector, Oleg Liseychikov, a second higher education can be obtained in the specialities of "Information Systems Software," "Logistics," "Accounting and Control in Industry," and "Psychology." The institute also trains administrators, storekeepers, specialists in automated accounting, office internet technologies, advertising graphics, and computer layout. Additionally, the institute offers training in integrated groups of professions: secretary, HR inspector, archivist.
"The list of specialities in demand on the labour market is determined by the Committee for Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Minsk City Executive Committee. We interact and respond promptly to the development of educational and programme documentation," Oleg Liseychikov concluded.
