February 19, Minsk / Yekaterina Markovich - BELTA /. A high-quality navigation map of the country will be created in Belarus. This was announced to journalists by the Chairman of the State Committee for Property of Belarus, Georgy Kuznetsov, BELTA correspondent reports.
"An important event for us last year was the acquisition of a digital aerial camera, which cost more than 1 million euros. From spring, we will start aerial photography and will update topographic maps faster and create high-quality navigation maps," the head of the committee noted.
Currently, according to Georgy Kuznetsov, the problem is that there is no new material for navigation maps. "It will be different with the camera, and if it is combined with the Russian one, because they want to use them in pairs, then the materials will be received much faster and with higher quality," he explained.
Georgy Kuznetsov also reported that the State Committee for Property has created digital planimetric material on a 1:10,000 scale for the entire territory of Belarus.-0-
