The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus adopted amendments to certain laws on the implementation of administrative procedures in the field of environmental management in the second reading today, BELTA reports. Speaking in parliament today, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Ecology, Environmental Management and the Chernobyl Catastrophe Sergey Konoplich recalled that this document was adopted in the first reading in June 2012. In particular, the document reduces the number of administrative procedures carried out by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. The obligation for producers of hydrometeorological information to register in the relevant state register with the issuance of a certificate is excluded. It is proposed to introduce a declarative principle for them. In addition, it is proposed to abolish administrative procedures in the field of waste management. Norms on the approval by territorial bodies of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of production waste generation standards are excluded. The document also provides for the abolition of the registration of gas cleaning units and much more. -0-
