This standard has been applied since 12 November this year, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection informed a BELTA correspondent. In accordance with Decree No. 483 of 27 November 1995 "On Ensuring Timely Payment of Wages", undisputed amounts are withheld from employers to cover wage arrears, corresponding to 1.5 times the subsistence minimum budget for the working-age population, adjusted between approvals for the consumer price index, taking into account the coefficients for increasing the tariff rates of workers by technological types of work, production, and economic sectors. According to the National Statistical Committee, the consumer price index for October this year was 101.8%. Thus, the subsistence minimum budget for the working-age population (Br963 thousand 130), adjusted for the consumer price index for October, amounts to Br980 thousand 470. When calculating the funds to be transferred out of turn of payments to cover wage arrears, employers must reserve an amount per employee corresponding to 1.5 times the subsistence minimum budget for the working-age population, adjusted for the consumer price index, namely Br1 million 470 thousand 710. If the employees' remuneration system provides for the application of coefficients for increasing the tariff rates of workers by technological types of work, production, and economic activities and sectors, when calculating funds to cover wage arrears, employers must reserve an amount per employee taking into account the specified coefficients.-0-
