By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the jubilee medal "80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" has been awarded to residents of Lepel: Boris Poryadkin, a Leningrad blockade survivor, and Tamara Dymman, a home front worker.
The awards were presented to the residents of Lepel by Roman Khasiev, Advisor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus, and Maxim Tomikhin, Third Secretary at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus.
The award ceremony was attended by Igor Urban, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies; Oleg Klimov, Deputy Military Commissar for Lepel and Ushachi Districts; and Marina Inozemtseva, Head of the Department for Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Lepel District Executive Committee.
In Belarus and Russia, the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War is honored. We celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory together.
