On December 30, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 492, which comprehensively amends the list of administrative procedures carried out by state bodies and other organizations upon application by citizens. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Thus, the requirement to obtain a coupon for a driver's license and a certificate of passing state technical inspection of vehicles is abolished, and the procedure for issuing an international driver's license is regulated.
The timelines for procedures related to the registration of citizens in need of improved housing conditions are reduced, and the decision to recognize residential premises as not meeting established sanitary and technical requirements is given indefinite validity (currently it is six months).
The decree simplifies the procedure for registering citizens for consular registration and provides for the waiver of fees for the registration of foreigners temporarily staying in Belarus if such registration is applied for through a unified portal of electronic services.
The legality of providing a copy of a passport instead of the original when applying to tax authorities for a number of administrative procedures is enshrined. This will allow citizens to submit applications in electronic and written form without personally visiting the tax authorities.
In order to comply with the secrecy of adoption, an extract from the court decision on adoption can be provided instead of a copy of the decision.
In addition, new administrative procedures necessary for citizens to exercise their rights are introduced, and procedures that have become irrelevant, such as the issuance of decisions on the privatization of residential premises, are excluded. -0-
