While previously such monitoring was carried out in hotels, it will now also be conducted at transport infrastructure facilities where passengers are dispatched and received.
Similar studies are conducted to obtain data on the number of respondents and the amount of money they have spent in Belarus. Participation in the monitoring is voluntary and anonymous. Tourists independently fill out special questionnaires.
At railway stations and other facilities that receive and dispatch passengers, monitoring will be carried out once a year for five days during the third month of the third quarter. In hotels, it will be conducted quarterly. The specific dates of the studies are determined by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism in agreement with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, regional and Minsk city executive committees, and other interested parties.
The resolution comes into force after its official publication.
