In Belarus, 77.27% of voters cast their ballots in the elections to local Councils of Deputies - CEC

March 24, Minsk /BELTA/. Voter turnout in the local council elections, according to data as of 8:00 PM, was approximately 77.27%. By this time, 5,385,922 citizens had voted, BELTA was informed by the Central Election Commission of Belarus.

Voter turnout in the Brest region was 80%, Vitebsk region - 82.29%, Gomel region - 80.83%, Grodno region - 79.96%, Minsk region - 80.74%, Mogilev region - 80.95%, and in the city of Minsk - 61.61%.

Voting in the elections of local council deputies has concluded - all 6,169 polling stations closed at 8:00 PM. Precinct commissions have begun counting the votes. Preliminary results are planned to be announced on the night of Sunday to Monday, March 24. -0-
