Belarus has announced a competition for the best tourist route idea as part of the "Belarus N" tourism development assistance program, implemented by RUP "Belorusneft Production Association". This was announced at a press conference by the Deputy General Director of RUP, Sergey Kamornikov, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"We decided to announce a creative competition for the idea of the best tourist route. We are accepting applications via the competition's email until November 15 from any Belarusian organization involved in tourism. We would like it to be an unconventional idea that involves interactivity, where a person can touch something with their hands, participate in something. We hope that this competition can breathe new life into the project," said Sergey Kamornikov.

One of the conditions of the competition is that the tourist route must start from any "Belorusneft" petrol station. These stations could serve as information points where any traveler could learn something interesting about the surrounding area and begin their journey along the route. A map of the petrol station network is available on the official website of "Belorusneft". Additionally, the name of the route must be an adjective, such as "Ozyorny" (Lake-like), "Syrny" (Cheese-like), or "Napoleonovsky" (Napoleonic).

The winner of the competition will be announced on November 25. The author of the best route will receive an SUV from the project partner. Consolation prizes will also be awarded: fuel cards for 100 liters of any fuel type at "Belorusneft" petrol stations. "We are counting on the assistance of the media and agro-estates, which could attract tourists and offer them new experiences and impressions," added Sergey Kamornikov.

As a positive example, he cited the "Neftyanoy" (Oil) tourist route in the Gomel region. On this route, tourists can see how oil is extracted, the complexities involved in the process, and even participate in it.

As noted by Oleg Romanov, Director of the communication agency NEF/TBWA, the "Belarus N" program is a unique opportunity for the development of tourism in Belarus. "We call for the unification of the tourism sector and agro-estates with Belorusneft. A whole system has been created over two years, a website has been developed that allows Belarusians to find tourist sites. Now it is necessary for them to take the initiative and start creating tour products," he emphasized.

As reported on the "Belarus N" program website, in the future, more than 540 Belorusneft gas stations will act as information, resource, and equipment centers for organizing trips around their native region. All "Belarus N" format trips, starting from one of the Belorusneft gas stations, will be distinguished by a unified standard of corporate service and an educational program for tourists of all ages.
