By Resolution No. 62 of 19 October 2016, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus approved the Instructions on the procedure and conditions for providing assistance in the resettlement of unemployed persons and their family members in connection with relocation to another locality for a new place of residence and work, with the payment of funds. By Resolution No. 62 of 19 October 2016, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus approved the Instructions on the procedure and conditions for providing assistance in the resettlement of unemployed persons and their family members in connection with relocation to another locality for a new place of residence and work, with the payment of funds. The document was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal, according to a BELTA correspondent.
According to the document, the resettlement of unemployed persons and their family members to a new place of residence and work is carried out in case of providing unemployed persons with work in another locality for the purpose of promoting their employment, providing employers with workers, and is carried out on a voluntary basis within Belarus.
Unemployed persons are entitled to assistance in resettlement. Adult family members of an unemployed person are resettled only with their written consent. Unemployed persons under the age of 18 are resettled only with the written consent of their parents, adoptive parents, or guardians, except in cases where a minor is declared fully capable (emancipated).
If the employer makes a positive decision on employment and resettlement of an unemployed person, the labour, employment and social protection authority at the place of registration of the unemployed person shall conclude a resettlement agreement within five working days.
For unemployed persons who have concluded an agreement, the labour, employment and social protection authority at the employer's location shall pay funds in the amount of seven times the subsistence minimum budget.
Additionally, funds are paid to unemployed persons in the amount of twice the subsistence minimum budget when relocating from cities to a new place of residence and work in small and medium-sized towns, rural areas, as well as satellite cities.
The resolution enters into force after its official publication.
