The Belarusian-German joint limited liability company "Children's Rehabilitation and Health Improvement Centre 'Nadezhda'" annually hosts approximately 5,000 young victims of Chernobyl for sanatorium-resort treatment and health improvement. Alongside constant medical supervision, the CRHIC offers therapeutic and rehabilitation procedures such as hydrotherapy, massage, speleotherapy, dry carbon dioxide baths, heat therapy, inhalation therapy, electro-, light-, and heat therapy, therapeutic physical exercise, aromatherapy, phytotherapy, sauna, dental care, laboratory diagnostics (general clinical and biochemical blood analysis), vitamin therapy, and drug treatment. For the children, a balanced six-meal-a-day diet is organised, making maximum use of products grown on the centre's own agricultural plot using ecological farming technologies. A school operates during the academic period. The "Nadezhda" Children's Centre collaborates with partners from 12 countries worldwide (Germany, Japan, Italy, Austria, Spain, England, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, USA, Russia, Ukraine).
The State Enterprise "Children's Rehabilitation and Health Resort Centre "Zhemchuzhina" of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee annually improves the health and provides recreation for over 6,000 residents from regions of the Republic most affected by the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. A high level of medical effectiveness is ensured here. For the past five years, the Centre has participated in an open competition for the health resort treatment of children from the Chernobyl regions, using vouchers purchased with funds from the Union State budget. In 2016, "Zhemchuzhina" will host 190 children for sanatorium and resort treatment. Incidentally, the Centre has begun implementing innovative physical fitness and health improvement programmes on health tracks with musical dosing of physical activity for children of middle school age – such an innovative product is not available in any other sanatorium and health resort organisation in Belarus.
The State Enterprise "Children's Rehabilitation and Health Resort Centre "Praleska" of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee annually provides health improvement for over 6,000 boys and girls from the Gomel region districts affected by the Chernobyl disaster. The health resort has implemented special comprehensive programmes for sanatorium and resort treatment of children using balneotherapy and mud therapy, various types of hardware physiotherapy, therapeutic physical culture, and massage. Two mineral water wells operate on the Centre's territory. "Praleska" is one of the few health resorts that accepts preschool children. To organise the educational process, the Centre has a school for 250 places, equipped with classrooms for mathematics, geography, Russian, Belarusian languages and literature, foreign languages, history and primary classes, physics and chemistry laboratories, a sports hall, a library with a reading room, and a book fund stocked with fiction, programme and methodological literature. The main feature in organising leisure activities is specialised themed sessions. Great attention is paid to children's self-governance. The Centre hosts meetings and forums with the participation of youth organisations and delegations from other countries. Close ties have been established for the health resort treatment of children from sports schools in the Russian Federation.
