President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 40 "On Public Procurement of Medical Products, Medicines and Therapeutic Nutrition" on February 7. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document provides for the designation of UP "Belmedtekhnika", RUP "Belfarmatsiya" subordinate to the Ministry of Health, and RUP "Belarusian Prosthetic and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center" subordinate to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection as organisers of procurement for medical products, spare parts for them, medicines and therapeutic nutrition.
The decree also grants the right to customers (from among state bodies and organisations) to acquire medical goods from these organisers without conducting public procurement procedures.
