27 December, Minsk /Elena Prus - BELTA/. The dates for increasing the first-category tariff rate for 2013 are being determined in Belarus. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Petr Grushnik during an online conference on the websites of BELTA and the ministry. "The government plans to increase the first-category tariff rate for the remuneration of employees in the budget sector in 2013. The specific dates for its increase are currently being determined," said Petr Grushnik. "In 2013, the wages of employees in the budget sector will be increased based on the economic capabilities of the state and the revenue of the consolidated budget of the country." He added that the ratio of the average monthly wages of public sector employees in 2012 is estimated to be around 80% of the average monthly wages across the republic. Regarding the timing of salary increases for civil servants, such a decision is made by the President based on the financial capabilities of the state, emphasized the First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection. Answering a respondent's question, Petr Grushnik noted that the remuneration conditions for heads of organisations are constantly being improved, as the economic operating conditions of organisations, and the goals and objectives set for organisations and their heads, are changing in the republic. "Regulating the wage level of an organisation's head solely through a ratio coefficient is not an innovation; it is already being implemented," he informed. "In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of 25 July 2002 No. 1003, along with other remuneration conditions, a ratio coefficient of up to 8 times is established for heads of organisations." -0-
