No decisions on early withdrawal of funds have been made. In accordance with the legislation, this right can be exercised to obtain paid medical services for a family member (their list and procedure are determined by the Ministry of Health), regardless of the period elapsed since the family capital was granted.
Thus, funds can be used early for cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, for the purchase of other medical devices instead of those included in the Republican Formulary of Medical Devices when performing complex and high-tech interventions, and/or other medicines instead of those included in the Republican Formulary of Medicines.
"In other words, family capital funds can be used to purchase medical devices and medicines within the Republic of Belarus instead of those provided free of charge," noted Valery Kovalkov.
As previously reported, this type of long-term support for large families was introduced on January 1, 2015. Family Capital is a one-time provision of non-cash funds in the amount of $10,000 upon the birth or adoption of a third or subsequent child.
