This was stated by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, during his report at a meeting of the pedagogical asset of Belarus, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. According to the President, the main principle of state policy in Belarus is the interests of the people. "We will not offend people, even in this difficult period. On my instruction, the government has developed and will adopt a number of measures in the coming days to protect different segments of the population socially," said the Belarusian leader. In particular, state employees and non-working pensioners are to be paid a one-time financial assistance of Br500 thousand for seasonal purchases of agricultural products. "Then it is planned to increase the first-category tariff rate for the remuneration of employees of state organizations. Benefits for families raising children will grow quarterly. In the fourth quarter of this year, a twofold increase in the lump-sum benefit for the birth of a child is envisaged. Pensions and scholarships will also increase," the President informed.
