August 2, Minsk /BELTA/. Amendments to the law "On Motor Roads and Road Activities" are planned to be introduced in Belarus, said Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on Industry, Fuel and Energy Complex, Transport and Communications Andrei Rybak in a special report by ATN "Under Presidential Control" on the Belarus 1 TV channel, BELTA reports.
"Without involving public-private partnerships, without involving private initiative, we will not be able to repair all roads: both republican, and local, and roads in settlements. Now our commission is working on a bill to amend the law "On Motor Roads and Road Activities," said Andrei Rybak. The document is planned to be adopted this autumn.
The report is dedicated to the issue of local road repairs. This issue has been taken under personal control by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. By 2020, it is planned to repair about 7 thousand km of local roads in Belarus. "These are the main roads that are in demand by the population, the most heavily loaded sections, approaches to some significant facilities, significant settlements," said First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Alexei Avramenko.
Today, the Agency of Television News has launched a new special project "Under Presidential Control".-0-
