21 December, Minsk / Lilia Krapivina - BELTA /. Belarus plans to introduce an electricity consumption norm of approximately 107 kWh per person per month. This was announced today to journalists by Vice-Premier Anatoly Kalinin, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Currently, this proposal is being considered by working commissions of the government. It is planned to submit this issue to the Presidium of the Council of Ministers, where the final decision will be made. Anatoly Kalinin also specified that if a family has two people, the norm increases by another 30 kWh, and for three people - accordingly by the same amount. According to Anatoly Kalinin, based on the analysis, this household electricity consumption will be quite sufficient for comfortable living. "But somewhere, of course, those who consume wastefully will have to pay some part - 5-10% - from their own budget at cost price," he said. In the opinion of the Vice-Premier, this is normal, justified, it happens all over the world, so there is nothing inadequate about it. -0-
