The National Plan has received the support of the President of Belarus and was approved by a resolution of the Council of Ministers.
"This National Plan is a political document that serves as a roadmap, defining the main directions of action for the implementation of our obligations to respect human rights," said the Deputy Head of the Foreign Ministry. "It is a special honour for me to announce the adoption of the National Plan on the day the 'Inclusive Belarus' campaign is launched."
The campaign is aimed at raising public awareness of barriers and inequality, and at combating the stigmatisation of vulnerable population groups.
Elena Kupchina congratulated the UN team and all participants of the event on UN Day, which is celebrated on 24 October.
