Belarus produces a wide range of medical equipment, Minister of Health Vasily Zharko told journalists before the opening of the Belarusian Medical Forum (BelarusMedica) in Minsk, according to a BELTA correspondent.
"Previously, we bought all X-ray equipment, especially digital, abroad. Today, it is domestically produced. Artificial lung ventilation machines, surgical sutures, operating tables – are all domestically produced. A wide range of medical equipment has already been mastered in our country," said Vasily Zharko.
The Minister added that good results in the healthcare sector have largely been achieved thanks to the re-equipment of medical institutions with the most modern equipment.
Speaking about the significance of such medical forums, Vasily Zharko noted that healthcare development is impossible without them. Practicing doctors and scientists have the opportunity to learn about innovations and share best practices.
The Belarusian Medical Forum includes the international specialised exhibitions "Healthcare of Belarus", "PharmExpo", and "Dentistry of Belarus". More than 200 exhibitors from 14 countries are showcasing their products and technologies. Among them are world leaders in the production of medical equipment, medical devices, consumables, dental equipment, and pharmaceutical products. India is the guest of honour.
The exhibition of the latest achievements in medicine is taking place in Minsk from March 22 to 25 at the address: Pobediteley Ave., 20/2, Football Manege.
