This decision is contained in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of 25 November 2013 No. 1012. Organisations are granted the right, taking into account the specifics of production (work), to reschedule working days in a different order in accordance with the legislation.
This means that Belarusians will celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, 3 July, and then have three more days off – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
However, the following working week will be one day longer – due to Saturday, 12 July, when people will have to work instead of Friday, 4 July.
Another rescheduling this year is planned in connection with the celebration of Catholic Christmas on 25 December – the working day is moved from Friday, 26 December, to Saturday, 20 December.-0-
