The list of socially significant goods (works, services) subject to price (tariff) regulation by the Ministry of Economy, as well as regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, has been expanded in Belarus, BelTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian government. According to the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of December 7, 2011, No. 1655, the list of socially significant goods, the prices of which are regulated by the Ministry of Economy, now includes 27 items (previously 14), including boiled sausages, frankfurters, dumplings, offal, forcemeat, cheeses, fish, salt, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and some types of baby food. Prior to the expansion, the list included bread, meat (beef, pork), milk, dry milk formulas and canned meat for baby food, granulated sugar, wheat flour, groats, pasta, poultry, chicken eggs, cow's butter, sunflower and rapeseed oil, and canned vegetables, fruits, berries, and fruit-and-vegetable products for baby food. State regulation of prices for these goods remains in effect. This list also includes services of children's health camps. The list of socially significant goods (works, services) subject to price (tariff) regulation by regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee has also been supplemented. This includes hosiery and soap. Previously, regulation was applied only to these goods for children. The list has also been expanded to include other children's goods, in particular, beds, prams, and baby blankets. Now, prices for shoe repair services will also be regulated. Previously, the list of socially significant services included ritual services (within the minimum funeral ritual), services of general bathhouse compartments (except for first, highest, and "luxury" categories) and shower rooms, as well as social services provided by state social service institutions of the labor, employment, and social protection bodies system. Price regulation for these services also remains in effect. Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 1655 amends Resolution No. 495 of April 14, 2011 "On Approval of Lists of Goods (Works, Services) Subject to Price (Tariff) Regulation by the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Health, Regional Executive Committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, and on the Recognition of Certain Resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus as No Longer in Force". -0-
