On September 16, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. In Belarus, the amount of state benefits for childbirth will be increased from October 1. President of Belarus signed Decree No. 416 to this effect on September 15, BelTA was informed by the press service of the Head of State. The Decree provides that from October 1, 2011, state benefits for childbirth, assigned in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus of October 30, 1992 "On State Benefits for Families Raising Children", shall be paid in the following amounts: for the birth of the first child - tenfold the highest value of the subsistence minimum budget (SMB) per capita for the two quarters preceding the child's birth date; for the birth of the second and subsequent children - fourteenfold the highest value of the SMB per capita for the two quarters preceding the child's birth date. The new amount of state benefits for childbirth will increase the budget expenditures of the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and the republican budget in 2011-2014 by Br1.32 trillion. In 2011, the expenditures of the fund's budget funds will increase by Br71.9 billion. These funds are provided for in the fund's budget for 2011. As explained by the press service, the adoption of the decree is aimed at creating favourable conditions for the birth and upbringing of children in families, including second and subsequent children, as well as for the overall stabilisation of the demographic situation.-0-
