On April 18, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 114 "On State Statistics Issues". The document is aimed at bringing the Regulation on the National Statistical Committee into compliance with the Law of December 30, 2022 No. 238-Z, as well as at enabling state organizations authorised to conduct state statistics to use the Belstat information system. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The Decree stipulates that such organisations shall collect primary data through the Unified Information System of State Statistics or their own software for respondents to submit primary statistical data in the form of an electronic document.
State organisations subordinate to Belstat shall ensure, according to the Decree, the functioning, operation and development of information resources (systems), and software and hardware complexes necessary for state statistical activities.
Territorial bodies of state statistics and authorised organisations are granted the right to certify paper copies of reports submitted in electronic form.
