Traditionally, the CT will begin with an exam in the Belarusian language. This year, 24,908 applicants have registered to take it, which is almost 3.6 thousand fewer than last year. The Director of the Republican Institute for Knowledge Control (RIKZ), Yury Miksyuk, commenting on the decrease in the number of applicants wishing to take the Belarusian language exam, explained that this was due to an overall decrease in the number of applicants registered for the CT. "This year, 9.8 thousand fewer people have registered for the CT. We also need to consider that this year, graduates from previous years can present last year's certificates for admission to universities for the first time. All of this together results in a certain decrease in the number of registered applicants overall and by subject," explained Yury Miksyuk.
He noted that 48.1% of applicants registered for the CT in four subjects. "This figure is approximately the same as last year," clarified the head of RIKZ.
All examination materials have been prepared for applicants to higher education institutions in Belarus, and specialists responsible for conducting the tests are present at the CT venues. The test itself will start simultaneously across the country at 11:00 AM.
Each applicant must arrive at the CT venue 30 minutes before the start of the testing and have with them a completed and registered pass, an identity document (passport, residence permit, refugee certificate), and a black ink pen. During the tests, the use of various communication devices is strictly prohibited. Applicants who violate the requirements and bring mobile phones or cheat sheets to the CT will be removed from the аудитория and will be disqualified from taking the tests this year, even on the reserve day.
