In Belarus, approaches to the selection of candidates for the Republican Board of Honour have been improved

Approaches to selecting candidates for the Republican Board of Honour in Belarus have been improved. This is stipulated by Decree No. 526 "On Amendments and Additions to the Regulations on the Republican Board of Honour," which was signed by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on November 13, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Approaches to selecting candidates for the Republican Board of Honour in Belarus have been improved. This is stipulated by Decree No. 526 "On Amendments and Additions to the Regulations on the Republican Board of Honour," which was signed by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on November 13, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The document has been developed with the aim of improving the mechanism for assessing the performance results of regions and organisations. It stipulates that when nominating administrative-territorial units and organisations to determine the winners based on the results of work for the reporting year among regions, the city of Minsk, districts, cities and city districts, as well as industrial organisations, indicators are used, the lists and calculation procedures for which are approved by the Ministry of Economy. Candidates are nominated taking into account systematic work to increase the economic efficiency of organisations' activities and the training of managerial staff; the performance of organisations is assessed as a whole for the legal entity; when nominating candidates to determine winners for achieving the best indicators in resource saving, the main assessment criterion is the fulfilment of targets for saving fuel and energy resources and reducing production costs while decreasing the material intensity of products.

The decree has improved the list of mandatory conditions for inclusion on the Republican Board of Honour. In particular, it establishes that an obligatory condition is the absence of corruption offences committed by officials during the reporting year.
