Tariffs for public railway transport infrastructure services have been established in Belarus. This is stipulated by the Resolution of the Ministry of Economy No. 31 of May 11, 2015, which was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal and comes into force on July 11, 2015, reports a BELTA correspondent.
"The Resolution establishes the maximum permissible tariffs for public railway transport infrastructure services in Belarus and defines the procedure for charging for these services when transporting goods and passengers," the Ministry of Economy explained.
According to the legislation, access to infrastructure services for transportation is granted only to foreign organisations and individual entrepreneurs registered in foreign states – members of the Eurasian Economic Union on infrastructure sections in cases provided for by international treaties of Belarus.
Taking into account the differences in the technology of providing railway transport infrastructure services for the carriage of goods and passengers, and consequently, the costs incurred by the Belarusian Railway organisations for their provision, the Resolution establishes different tariff levels for infrastructure services for the carriage of goods and for the carriage of passengers, luggage and cargo-luggage.
To determine the procedure for establishing and applying tariffs for infrastructure services, the Ministry of Economy Resolution has approved relevant instructions.
