June 5, Minsk /BELTA/. 2-3 large holding companies in the housing construction sector will be established in Belarus in the near future. Vice-Premier Anatoly Kalinin announced these plans on June 4 at a meeting with the President of Belarus on housing construction issues, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"We have analyzed the situation and see the need to create 2-3 large holding companies that will unite 20-25 thousand employees and will allow us to address issues related to major projects in Belarus and seriously enter foreign markets. I think we will adopt a resolution on the creation of large holding companies in the first half of the year," said the Vice-Premier.
Anatoly Kalinin stated that the number of employees in the construction industry has decreased in recent years, but noted that their number is sufficient for the implementation of all investment projects and programs. In addition, recently, the outflow of personnel has largely stopped, and many who went abroad are returning to work in Belarus.
"Of course, we have not yet achieved the proper rhythm and responsibility in terms of deadlines and construction quality, but in the near future, we will introduce quite fundamental requirements for developers and designers," the Vice-Premier noted. -0-
